Recently there has been an explosion in the amount of pet carriers that have hit the market. Not only has there been an influx of all kinds of pet carriers, the demand for them has increased as well. If you turn on the TV you'll see Paris Hilton or some other celebrity their dog in arm or inside a trendy pet carrier. Somehow it has become the cool thing to do. The other day I was at the gym and noticed a perfectly healthy dog being pushed in a dog stroller. I had to laugh at this situation and think "what a lucky dog, he doesn't even have to walk!"

Why use a pet carrier?
Pet carriers are great for many reasons. Not only are they trendy, hip and cool but they serve a function as well. Many people just want to keep up with what their friends are doing and are looking for their carriers to show their status. But one great practical function is to be able to easily and safely transport your dog. So they are great to use on long road trips in your car or even on trains. If you need to take a long vacation or trip, but also need to bring your dog they are perfect. They help to keep your dog contained within the carrier as well as keeping the rest of your car clean. Not only that but the more interaction your dog has with others while driving, the more likely they'll be overly excited and the potential for accidents increases.
