Why your pet should be wearing dog boots!
Dogs love to wear shoes! And to see a good pair of shoes on a dog can bring tears to my eyes. But it's unfortunate due to simple anatomy that dogs just can't wear all the types of shoes that humans can. There are so many dog shoes that I would love to see dogs wear if they only could. Here is a list of a few: I'd love to see a dog wear high heals or pumps, wouldn't that be a hilarious site? How about a dog wearing some soccer cleats or a nice pair of penny loafers (without socks of course) or moccasins? If they're going to wear penny loafers, why not have them throw on some loafers as well. I would also like to see a dog be able to wear a pair of sandals, thongs or flip flops as well. Can you imagine at just how that would work? That would be just hilarious. I'd also like to see dogs in some winter boots or clogs (clogs are like regular shoes but a bit warmer with no heals on the back so you can slip right into them for easy access). What about seeing your dog in a nightgown and slippers ready to retire for the evening? Perhaps your dog is sportier and you'd like to see them in a pair of tennis shoes, basketball shoes (like dog high tops) or even a pair of dog running shoes? Maybe your dog is a workaholic and you'd like to see them in a pair of nice Italian dog work shoes like wing-tips to wear with a suit? I'd pay money to see that!
Okay maybe I'm just thinking of all the possibilities here. It would be cool to see dogs in all of those types of dog footgear though. I'd really think that was fun. But what kind of dog shoes can our pets really wear then? Simple dog sneakers and dog boots or dog rain boots that are good in the wintertime seem to be the most popular dog shoes on the market today.
On a more serious and less fun note, dog shoes are great for those really long hikes you might take. Imagine going camping or for a 20 mile hike with your dog. It might be a good idea to take a pair of strong dog hiking boots with you just in case. Another reason dog shoes are a good option is if you go for a run or walk and it's really hot outside and your dog will be running on the hot pavement. The usually isn't a problem but you don't want your dog to be running on hot asphalt for 3 hours burning their little feet pads do you? We do know their animals and should be able to endure anything but you have to understand also that dogs do get injured and do have physical limitation no matter how wild or undomesticated you think they might be!
But back onto more fun ideas. Dog shoes are not only functional but fun too! Perhaps you want to bring them inside after they've been playing in the mud outside but don't want to wash their little paws and feet. Just slap on a pair of dog boots and let them in!
